Unconference

A part of the conference where participants can propose and select what the program will be spontaneously. Intended to foster networking, brainstorming, and discussions. Have a look at our unconference page for more details.

Oral presentations

Oral presentations by speakers selected through a double-blind peer review process. Papers accepted for orals will be published in the conference proceedings and are eligible for being invited to contribute to special journal issues on AI and space.

Details about oral presentations:

  • Length: Oral talks are 20min in total. We recommend splitting the talk into 15min presentation and 5min questions.
  • Aspect ratio: 16:9
  • Data format: Slides should be either in Powerpoint or PDF format (they will be projected on a monitor using a Windows laptop).
  • Before the conference: Please send your presentation to ana dot stroescu @ esa dot int (replace dot with actual dots) before Monday 16 September. In case of very large file sizes, please send a download link (e.g. using Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, or similar).
Use the following email subject: [SPAICE] Oral Slides
and name your slides as follows: {session name}-{your first name}.{file extension} (remove white spaces and “&” symbols).
For instance, if your first name is Yoda and you present in the session Astronomy & Astrophysics, your file should be named: AstronomyAstrophysics-Yoda.ppt or AstronomyAstrophysics-Yoda.pdf.

Poster presentations

Poster presentations by presenters selected through a double-blind peer review. There are dedicated sessions where presenters are at their posters to introduce and discuss their work. For posters, publication of an accompanying paper in the conference proceedings is optional. Posters are eligible for being invited to contribute to special journal issues on AI and space.

Details about poster format and how to set up the poster:

  • Size: preferably A0 (bigger than A0 is not possible!)
  • Orientation: Portrait (A0 posters do not fit in landscape orientation!)
  • Printing: You have to print the poster yourself and bring it with you to the conference. If you fly, you can usually transport it in your hand luggage (stored in a poster roll).
  • Presentation: Your poster is scheduled for a dedicated session either on Wednesday or Thursday, see our Poster page to find out on which day you will be presenting. Please be at your poster during this session. The poster will be hanging for the full day, so please put up your poster at the beginning of the day and remove it again at the end of the day. Material for putting up posters will be available.
